The Nottingham City Sustainable Food Partnership (NCSFP) will be attending the Locavore Market in Nottingham on Saturday August 8, 2026.

The event at Sneinton Market will focus on locally produced food, with a mix of unprocessed, or minimally processed ingredients, as well as finished products, like preserves, sauces and hand-canned goods.

In addition, the Nottingham Mill Coop and the Breadmill bakery are tenants on the site, so brilliant baked goods are guaranteed.

During the day, NCSFP will be conducting (very short) surveys with consumers and businesses, to canvas opinion about local food and access to markets.

Locavore, which means a person who eats food that is grown or produced in their local area, is organised by MinorOak Coworking and Forager’s Kitchen, which are both tenants at Sneinton Market.

NCSFP will have fresh, surplus vegetables to share with visitors to the market, which will be kindly supplied by Fareshare Midlands.

NCSFP will be represented by representatives of Nottingham City Council Public Health, Nottingham Trent University and Bethan McIlroy, a consultant in local food systems. We will be sharing a stall with our friends at the Notts Seed Network, who will be bringing plants and seeds for people to buy.
