December’s performance of Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, bringing together the BBC Concert Orchestra, the choirs of both Nottingham universities and the choristers of Southwell Minster, was extremely well received by the large, close to capacity audience. Critics can often be harder to please, but reviews published online following the concert were equally full of praise.

William Ruff, reviewing the concert on ReviewsGate, wrote that there was, “plenty of tingle-factor in this fruitful musical collaboration” and a review on Classical Music Daily felt that, “the opening chorus erupted with an almost physical impact”.
